What made me think about the Brownlow count on Monday is that Cotch was still able to attract the attention of the maggots and get votes in games that we lost.
Makes me think that the Brownlow in the last decade or so has gone to players of the better performed clubs so if we can get our on field act together, even 50/50 or better he will be a huge shot at the Brownlow.

No the umpires hate us and even when we were masters of the jungle, refused to give us votes.
Think KB.

Our last Brownlow was won, only because Stewart was already a dual brownlow medallist, and the umps forgot who he was actually playing for in '71!

When KB was playing the brownlow seemed to won by players from lesser performed clubs.

In recent times, as tucker alluded to, it has been won by players from better performed clubs.

Richo went close to bucking this trend though.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
