You cannot spend what you don't have or is this lost on you.

Surprised people  think different given the way economy's around the world are imploding.
Be it a big corporation or a football club our spending needs to come from a sound strong business plan.
Which I think we are finally getting set up.

We have that exclusive U.S fitness deal.  That's different.

NO it is NOT.
As I posted when it was reported, Western Bulldogs did a trip to Arizona under Athletes Performance in 2008.

Looks like we are playing catch up. On the positive side did really well in the 2 years since then.

The Western Bulldogs pre-season training programme has taken a different look in preparation for season 2009. This has included taking the full playing group to one of the world’s leaders in elite sporting education and training.

Over a number of years now the club has been persisting with raising funds and working toward the idea of exposing its playing group and staff to world class educational experiences.

With great support from key people such as Western Bulldogs Patron and Director Sue Alberti, a delegation of supporters, Director Barry Hall, Glenn Preusker, Stuart Coffield, Grant Egan and Levent Shevki along with players and currently situated staff contributing to the pre-season education and training camp; the team has spent the past few days at the Arizona State University.

The Athletes Performance Centre based in Phoenix, Arizona has been the corner stone to the educational experience which has included exposure to other sports such as American Gridiron, NBA Basketball and NHL Ice Hockey. Further to this the players have been completing regular football training sessions at the Arizona State University and will be hiking through the Grand Canyon adding to its pre-season training and preparation.

The team has also spent time in the class room finetuning its educational sessions centred on team play, tactics and its game plans heading into season 2009. The Western Bulldogs commenced the Leading Teams program in season 2008 and have recommenced this program through the pre-season education and training camp with sessions being facilitated by leading teams’ facilitator Craig Biddiscombe who is also on tour.

The travelling party has included 40 players, Coaches, Medical staff and Senior Administrators including CEO Campbell Rose. This has also provided a vehicle for most areas of the clubs football operations to work closely together and experience this unique educational opportunity as a complete club experience.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

That's right Al.you support mediocrity  :thumbsup

So do you, remember what forum you are posting on.
The difference is you use the club as a vehicle to lash out at a world that doesnt appreciate a plonker

I just don't agree with the direction sometimes our club goes in, and last time I looked.this is a forum .look forum up in the dictionary you plonked yellow and black

I have to ask, apart from the obvious answer (30 years of little on field success) what have we done to upset you? I don't know you from a bar of soap Jackstar but for a Richmond fan, you seem very anti-Richmond. I'd love to see if we can turn around your idea of the place. We don't have any hidden agendas, there are no conspiracies and we have some pretty talented people working here trying to make the place better.

I ask you a question.

I also would have accepted "I don't believe in our recruiting/development policies". I can't answer footy questions, so I can't really respond to any of that. Appreciate you taking the time to respond though.

Supposedly jackie boy used to work down at tigerland.
He's still is very bitter at his perceived injustice in treatment.

If he was anything like he is on here he would have been nothing but a rabble rousing troublemaker, looking to criticise and undermine at every chance.

Who doesnt? FFS

That is the exact reason that i am glad that you have no input at Richmond whatsoever.

We all at times think we know better, but unlike all us internet nuffers you were in the game.

If you are so stuffing up to speed with how to turn a basket case of a football club into a success again then why are you here arguing with internet nuffers?

You were in the game jamie, but now you are here spruiking crap like the rest of us. You had an opportunity to put your words into action, but didnt, so it's laughable that you carry on about others liking failure.

Cue the blame game.......

Ben Holland was a totally different character. Ultimately selfish, greedy  and egotistical all under the guise of politeness charming and affable.  He had one aim in life and he fulfilled it. $$$$$$$$$$
If premierships were a part of that journey so be it was happy to milk us dry when we were down in 2010 and we were called at the time as the new Fitzroy.
The amount of selfless acts I saw Rance do this year Ben Holland and lets include his "selfless" brother Nick wouldn't do as many if they played for 1000 years.
As for the issues with Ben different regime and unfulfilled promises from Clinton Casey. Lets not bring up that old chestnut.

where I am coming from is this.
Players seem to have a habit of playing reasonably good footy for a short period of time and then holding the club at ransom in regards to contracts.
