Geelong Barwon Tigers have organized a Team Of The Century night on Saturday the 15th of October.



Unfortunately due to poor ticket sales this event may have to be cancelled. The committee work very hard to plan these functions and we find it very disappointing that we have over 100 members yet only 10 have purchased tickets.

Tickets cost $50 per person or a table of 8 for $350, and for this you will receive a 2 course dinner, a complimentary drink (beer, wine or soft drink), a ticket in the draw to win a signed football and a night of entertainment. All profits from this function will go to the Richmond Football Club.

 Thanks for putting the Flyer up on here for us! Unfortunately we find it hard being in the area that we are in and since that certain team won the Grand Final at the moment it is all about Geelong! 

We have some fantastic memorabilia up for auction including a  Team Of The Century Jumper signed by Matthew Richardson, Dale Weightman, Dick Clay, Kevin Bartlett, Mervyn Keane and Michael Green!

We need to know numbers by Friday for Catering reasons, come along make a weekend of it......:-)

Hi All,

Today is D-Day for the Geelong Barwon Tigers, unfortunatley If we don't sell another 25 tickets by today the function can not go ahead.


We have some fantastic auction items up for grabs, including a Team Of The Century jumper signed by Dick Clay, Dale Weightman, Mervyn Keane, Michael Green, Kevin Bartlett and Matthew Richardson!
A signed and framed Jack Riewoldt jumper, a signed and framed Dustin Martin jumper plus more! Not all the memorabilia will be Richmond themed.

Raffles, lucky door prize, giveaways! Bill Meaklim the club historian will be doing his Captains corner with prizes for the correct answers! Our M.C for the night is Mike Perry. And mostly a chance to meet and hear from some of our Team Of The Century recipients.

Dick Clay- 213 games, Four times premiership player ( 1967, 69, 73-74),
Dale Weightman-275 games, 1980 premiership player, 2 x Best and Fairest winner.
Mervyn Keane- 238 games, Three times premiership player (1973-74, 1980).
Michael Green-148 games, four time premiership player (1967, 69, 73-74)
