First 4 rounds
« on: March 14, 2005, 12:34:56 AM »
Probably a bit on the optimistic side as we haven't won a real game for 10 months but looking at the first month we have a good chance to get off to a good start:

1. Geelong at the 'G
2. Hawks at the 'G
3. Dogs at the Dome.
4. Freo at the 'G.

Their 50/50 chances but all are winnable.

Agree MT, wouldn't be a suprise to be 4 wins or 4 losses after round 4.

Most likely 2 apiece.

Definite chance of bing 4-0, although the Cats creamed us last time at the 'G.
The others are very gettable, but it could easily be 0-4 too lol
I'll go 3-1, 'cos i think Freo at the Dome travel well there and that game or the Cats one are iffy.
Dogs and Hawkers are definitely achievable

If I recall correctly, we haven't beaten the Cats in a H&A season for quite a while so to get a win would be especially good, especially if Knobel/Simmonds cream a Mr. Ottens.

If i was a betting man i'd say 3-1 if Freo have a poo first few games, or 2-2 if they start good!

At least Otto's taps this year will go to a Richmond player lol.

We haven't bet the Cats since 2000 when we thumped them at the Dome by 70. At least we can't make Ben Graham look like a champion this time around  ::).

Record since 2001:

Cats 0-5  LLLLL
Hawks 3-4 LLWWLWL
Dogs 4-2 LWLWWW
Freo 3-3 WLWWLL

The Hawks look in total disarray going by the news tonight. What a shame  ;D.

Yeah I'm sick of losing to Geelong. If we only have one win in the first four games I hope it's against Geelong.

After last year I'll take a win against anybody lol.

The pussies game will be interesting first up. Their crappy forward line against our similarly weak defence; Cats' good midfield against ours which is an unknown although has thankfully greater depth with Cogs, Tuck and Krakouer (back) in there; and their top backline against our potentially tricky attack with dual talls Richo and Simmonds surrounded by Browny, Krakouer, Tambling etc.

I would like to think we can be 4-0 but I'll ber happy just to win 1 any 1  ;D

The game I reckon is the danger one (fancy us having a danger game :help) is -v- the Hawks - you know the one we are supposed to win ;D

Don't think we can beat the cats but the other 3 are winnable.  my prediction 2-2.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

If we pull off a win against Cats then that'll be a big test to back up after good wins. One we've failed consistency over the past decade. With a young side it is always a danger.
