RFCO, you are 'avin a laff' if you think the majority of Richmond fans like it. the comments on all forums as well as the comments under the FB profile picture are mostly negative.

Im not too fussed about the whole thing. But surely something a little more aggressive, with less white could have been developed.
That tiger strikes me as a pussy.

And the nab cup jumpers (or training jumpers, whatever they are) look like rainbow paddlepops. They are ugly as sin. I cant see anyone actually thinking they look good.

RFCO you are kidding if you say the reaction to the leaked logo was positive.

It wasn't, as is the reaction to this one, apart from at one pub where everything is great.

I would also like to know as a member of the club why we are not privvy to exactly what was spent on this new logo?

A pub where everything is great? I'd probably get kicked out

 ;D

One would be forced to launch furniture around the room and heckle the barmen for entertainment

I bet all is not rosy at this bar. The bartenders probably spike your drinks and then boot you out

By the way the company that did the new logo was CANYON.

http://www.canyonbranddesign.com/

At first i thought that said Crayon. No wonder Ralphy had the scoop early.  :lol

Just been down at the club for lunch and beers.

Quite impressed with the place and i heard a few things which i hope come true.

One is we are trying to launch off the Darwin deal. Melbourne are keen. If it comes true remains to be seen.

what do mean by launch off the Darwin deal, Daniel?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yahweh? or the great Clawski?

WP correct beyond 2012. Dees are keen and we are not anymore is what I was told.

Also not sure if it's been mentioned here but are we not able to use Punt Road Oval from June/July
next year?

Bit strange why they wouldn't wait till end of season. Anyway

I spit at the ground and say **** the old logo, two decades of failure, scorn, ridicule, embarrasment and humilation. In that time we achieved NOTHING, **** ALL , didly SQUAT, NIL ...the old LOGO is symbolic of failure and it deperately needs to be scrapped. it has no sentimental VALUE at all, we simply need to move past this namby pamby , oh i liked the old one....well gee, there's a BIG picture happening people and EVERYTHING needs to point in same direction. I applaud the club on this move, i have been overwhelmed by joy at the changing of the guard..well done to all involved :clapping

They would have gone close to recouping the 100K in merchandise sales already ;D

pssst, hate to break it to you partner but running a footy club in the AFL , trying to expand on 50,000 members in a competitive market, appeal to sponsors, NEW supporters/members takes more than a narrow minded bush club style mentaility...its called marketing ::)
