Probably don't want to turn him away from returning by delisting him before the last date to delist him.
While the others would thrive off the chance to get back on the list the club might doubt Taylor would return if he knew he was off the list.

Contin is one I would've thought we would persist with. I guess allowing him to keep training with the senior list means if he wants to stay it's up to him.

Yep just after I posted that when I returned to Richmond Rant page I saw the thread.

By all reports Contin was flying for Coburg in the second half of the season.

It could have something to do with the rules in terms of Contin, I have a feeling you cant stay on the rookie list for more than a period of 2 years. I may be wrong though. Plus I think its kind of smart, allow Contin and Jakobi to compete against others who are to train with us to see who wins out. We've done similar with Gourdis certainly in the past, and I think Hislop as well. Though in saying that, they were slightly different circumstances.

Thought Cotin should have got a game in the seniors toward's the end of the year. As someone else mentioned,I believe the rookie list has a limited time frame.

You can now have 3 years on the rookie list.  I would hazard a guess that Contin and Jakobi will be invited to continue training and may end up being re-rookied if no better option presents itself.
