NAB CUP TRIAL RULES

*Video technology used in goal-line decisions, with the official scorer to be involved in the consultation process.

*Ruckmen cannot make contact with their opponent until the ball leaves the umpire's hand.

*Interchange system has two interchange members and two substitutes for week one of the NAB Cup.

*An umpire can pay a free kick if a player drags the ball under his opponent, or if a player holds the ball in when an opponent is trying to knock the ball out.

*A free kick is paid against the team which last kicks or handballs the ball over the line, provided no one else touches the ball before it goes out of bounds. Players walking the ball over the line are also penalised.

*Boundary and goal umpires can pay free kicks for holding and high contact.

*The nine-point super-goal from outside 50 metres.

Next year little Adrian will trial a free kick against the player preventing the opponent not trying to hold the ball under his opponent who is not trying to hold the ball in.
The year after little Adrian will trial a free kick against the player preventing the opponent preventing his opponent not trying to hold the ball under his opponent who is not trying to hold the ball in.
The year after that little Adrian will trial a free kick against the player  preventing the opponent preventing his opponent who preventing his opponent not trying to hold the ball under his opponent who is not trying to hold the ball in.
etc ...

Just ball the bloody thing up AA like we have for the past 150 years :wallywink

there's no point going far in this comp. better off losing as soon as we can and then playing real football in the NAB challenge

I'm not a big fan of these competitions either but we havent won anything for a long time. I hope we take it seriously and try and win something even if its only the night series.

We need to try and go as far as we can.

Would love to win it or at least make the final.

Membership numbers will increase significantly.

Totally agree and I have been saying this year after year.....but alas I have been shot down year after year too for saying it... :thumbsup

We need to go into the season with a winning attitude and confidence, you dont get that by losing games, NAB cup or not..

NAB Cup isnt knockout type comp, every club plays all 3 rounds ( 4 games as Rd1 is the 2 mini games)
