How fired up do you get at the footy?
« on: March 17, 2005, 03:22:32 AM »
How pumped up do you get at the footy? Do you go off your nut at a great goal or mark or at the umps or are you laid back.

What about if your watching it on tv. Do you chuck the remote after Richo misses from 10m out lol?

How about after the game. Are you grumpy after a loss and on cloud 9 after a win?

I'm terrible.  I yell and scream and abuse the telly. The neighbours must think I'm nuts.   If its a close game and the kids are making up there's hell to pay.  .  If we are losing I turn it off only to turn it back on after a few minutes to see if we've improved.  A lose = grumpy Julz.  A win = an adrenalin rush (luck out hubby!)

I am pretty quiet because i normally have lots of loud mouths around me and it's hard to compete, so why bother.  If anyone knows Louie or my dear and bestest friend Chrissie you will understand  :lol
Normally sit there like that just watching, but have been known to go totally irrational and sometimes words that somehow emanate from my mouth might be construed as unladylike lol
But i luv the catharsis of footy - generally like to get out all the frustrations of the week  ;D

If I am at the game I get a bit fired up, and if there are kids around, I try to be respectful, but it is hard sometimes....

If I am at home, I watch it win lose or draw!

it all depends if i have my kids with me or if there kids are around close vicinity! if they are im reserved , cheer for goals and stay relaxed! thats my good side!

if im there with my bro and no kids around, i let loose! no holding back, i become th eravaged supporter most hate! i have never been in a fight at the footy , close a few times with skunks!
i become very loud and vocal, by games end my voice has gone, i have been kicked out by security twice because ppl complained about my obcenities! years ago the crows flogged us at the g by over 100pts ! i was kindly escorted out of the g that day ! and another game that geelong pumped us in the ablett days i was escorted out of kardinia park!

at home, im edgy, i pace around,  i scream i shout , if the kids arent hm i scream swear u name it! cant get kicked out of my home! i broke a tv once but it wasnt my fault it was those damn umpires!

but over all im a good spectator, i dont spit ! :-)

Soon after I got married, my wife decided she would take an interest in some of the things I did. One of these was to watch footy. On one unfortunate occasion, Richo took a mark about 20m directly in front, played on and hit the post from 5m. In my frustration I swore and flung my hand back to hit the couch, forgetting that the better half was sitting there. As you can imagine, I didnt get any that night.

She refuses to go the games cause I embarrass her with my yelling and screaming ! She just doesnt inderstand.

I'm an absolute shocker...try not to swear though. My husband refuses to go to the footy with me....we've actually stood on opposing wings at Kardinia Park (he's a Cats' supporter....go Round 1) and he reckons he still heard me from there.

I only have a go at the opposition and the umps...never our own players (not out loud anyway).

Anyway "MAN UP".....don't think I'll need to yell that out this year as we'll be the one's with ball running through the middle - lol!
