yeah was Xman who dropped it

positives:
-Cotch and Lids, these blokes have grown as onfield leaders this season
-Jack and Nahas they did their job and did it well. Jack looks sooo much better when hes on the lead, stop this body on body crap. Nahas continually cops crap from supporters that hes not good enough, not sure why, he does his job more often than not in a position which is really hard to be consistent.
-O'Hanlon can play a bit! thought it was his best game so far last night, took some steps fwd last week and went on with it this week. If this guy can stand up as a 3rd mobile tall we'll be so much better off, 3 big talls dont work, 3rd tall needs to be a darling/hammill type.
-Ellis was one of our best, best game for the club, loved the bump he put on ablett too. Looks like hes settled in and now is starting to show his ability. If he doesnt get a rising star nom for that 3rd qtr alone...
-Rance, first game in 4-5 weeks he kept his feet and looked composed, played a really solid game and laid some huge tackles on Ablett.

Negatives:
Too many to list, but the fact we lost with the above positives is pee poor. Lids, Cotch, Jack and Nahas couldnt have done anymore, they were at maximum capacity and we still lost to a winless side.

Take an example of Collingwood
They have unknown players come in and step up and perform straight away first  gamers etc
We don't have any players outside out top 5 when given the opportunity can't give you a BOG performance .think about it
It's the same players in our best 5 each week

I've just watched the game. How do you think Ellis and Conca went?

Question still has not been answered by Hardwick in regards to the use of the sub so early - was Webberly injured? Why would you take off a running midfielder when the team ran out of legs?

As I posted in another thread:

"He was disgraceful, pathetic and played like he didn't give a poo, which makes it worse seeing he was playing for his career.

After Saturday night it makes you wonder how he got a contract over a few others who got the chop at the end of 2011"

Would you like me to go on?

I haven't watched the replay will do that today

But sitting up there in the humidity and having had the "pleasure" of watching his efforts first hand I will give you a few examples

* Wouldn't chase, hardly got out of a canter nah make that jog  :banghead
* Wouldn't attempt to tackle just the odd "corale" on an opponent   :banghead
* stood back off contest while poor Cotch was getting pummelled  :banghead
* out simply he was giving the team NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH = he was a liability

TBBH - to be subbed out at the 20 minute mark of the 2nd qtr when you are clearly not injured is an indictment on Webberely, his attitude and his efforts (lack of).

And BTW after I watch the replay if my memory is triggered with more examples I will post them  ;D

Dimma's mistake was selecting him at all.

Don't think we had anyone else

Arnot was the logical choice but injured

Who else was there outside another rookie elevation?

Im all for giving players one last chance(especially in the predicament we were in) he didnt grasp it, stamp his papers and move on.

Robbo right now on SEN blamed our lack of depth [understatement] and questioned the onfield leadership or rather lack of it and shouldn't the correct set-ups been automatic as most clubs practise various scenarios like the last centre bounce at training? Have we practised such a scenario?

Harford said blaming the selling of a home game is a soft target. Blame being down by 36 pts at one stage as well as losing from being 18 pts up with minutes to go. Should never have lost that game.

The loss comes down to Ivan Maric not playing. This guy needs to play if we are to have a decent chance of winning any game. Seeing Graham back in the side just reminds me of a dark dark place I never want to return to. We need to poach another ruck to partner Maric, a Bellchambers / Goldstein / Clarke type, just to ease his load and in case he goes down.

If Maric doesn't play, I would say our team goes from 'thinking they can win' to 'wondering if we can compete' . . .  :banghead

DimSims laptop broke down again on Saturday night
He is lost without it
He should put his game plan on a memory stick or print it out
He looked like a 16 yr old boy waiting for his first date knowing the fact it was never ever going to happen
