Three more promising young players have signed new contracts with Richmond . . .

Matt Dea, Jeromey Webberley and Andrew Browne join fellow youngsters Alex Rance, Dylan Grimes, Reece Conca, Brad Helbig and Jake Batchelor, who have all recently re-committed to the Club.

Dea has signed a two-year deal, while Webberley and Browne have both agreed to one-year deals.

The club see a lot to like about Dea.
Webberely will have to pull the finger out to stay on the list after next year.
Browne would be looking at 10 plus games next year or it may also be his last.

Webberley and Browne are depth players, and 1 year contract is all they deserve so good move there. Webbers showed a bit off the sub bench but I dont think we will see him again after 2012 unless he goes up a few gears. No suprises with Browne getting +1 seeing as Derickx needs to come on still.

Dea for mine is interesting, great athlete, but I have serious doubts over his footballing ability. I would have opted only for the +1 here as well, but the club must see something they like.

At the end of the day, I figure all are on very low salaries so wouldn't say this is either good news or bad news  :rollin

All the deals are correct.

Dea has shown plenty to be given 2 more years and Browne and Webberley's one year deals are also spot on for depth players.

A couple of years ago we gave Graham an idiotic 3 year deal so to see Browne agreeing to terms for only one year pleases me greatly and is realistic.

I agree with you except for on Dea, think he has only shown enough to warrant 1 year, but we will see.

I'm OK with these deals.
Agree with most sentiments on Dea. The club clearly sees something in him, and i reckon i saw a couple of things late in the season too. He's got a great build and appears to be very athletic. Im prepared to back the club's judgment on this one.

Agreed, I thought he showed some good signs later in the season when given a crack. He was shocking on debut but you could see that nerves and inexperience played a big part in his mistakes.
