History tells us we don't deserve to be rated much higher.
The team has to start performing if they want some credibility and respect from journalists.  Don't agree about the same old cattle crap - where has this guy been?  Who is he anyway lol

I read that "new coach, same cattle" comment and thought WTF, WTF INDEED!

The other person that tipped us for last at least has an arguable point!

There's a couple of journo's from the Age tipping us for 16th as well.

Most notable :rollin :lol Tim "Blinks" Watson.

He'd know all about coaching sides to 16th. Thank you for taking Robbie Powell and Justin Plapp off our hands Timmy  ;D.

Some not too bad assessments there IMO.

Hawks will finish last, they will struggle to kick a score

Tigers - whilst playing a much more attacking brand of footy, still have the huge question mark over the backline.

I am hoping they finish higher than 13th

It's very hard to make a prediction on where we will finish as there are so many unknown factors.  During the past couple of years it was easy to assess how we'd go.  Just pencil in bottom 4 and you were a shoe in.  this year I wouldn't be surprised if we snuck into the 8 and wouldn't be surprised if we finished bottom 4.  I don't expect us to finish last though.  My prediction - 12th/13th.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Agree Harry. Most of the comp is mediocre and very even. A good run with injuries and a few close wins and you can sneak into the 8. Having said that I think with so many young kids we'll most likely fall away in the second half of the year as they tire. A good start to the year might see us finish 10-11th while a average/poor start will mean bottom 4 again.

My thoughts in a nutshell there Harry KnightRider.

If everything and I mean everything goes our way we could find ourselves in the 8.

In a way I think it may depend on the surprise factor against the opposition. what i mean there is the new style of play that doesn't mean we kick it to Richo all the time. Our opponents are not going to be able to have 3 on Richo and then run off him. They have to contend with Simmonds and maybe Stafford if he gets back in, for height and then blokes like Brown and Karkouer crumbing. If we can sneak a few wins early in the year then who knows what will happen. The other thing is how the young blokes will go physically as the year goes on. I don't think you can expect them to be "up" for the whole year. In the end they are kids

I don't think we will finish last.

The calm conservative me thinks a finish between 9th-11th is where we will end up
