Remider of OER Posting Rules - Please Read
« on: March 21, 2005, 09:53:39 PM »
Hi Guys and Gals,

This is a reminder that the "C" word is highly offensive to most people and its use or any various "mis-spelt" versions to avoid the swear filter are not acceptable. It will no longer be tolerated on the forum.

As admin/moderators we've been fairly lenient towards the occasional swear word here and there.

However the "C" word in any form is not on.

We refer to our original posting rules that we posted when we first launched the site

http://oneeyed-richmond.com/forum/index.php?topic=13.new#new

In particluar:

1.   No swearing or abusive language. The forum does have a “swear filter” and some people (like myself) are pretty lousy at typing but continually posting to test the filter will result in the member firstly being warned and then dropped to the “swear bench” for 7 days.

Regards,
MT & WP

Look, there’s more than one way to skin a at and, without wanting to make light of the situation, for those not wanting to take any hances on the “C” word and risk being sent to the “swear bench”, from now on all words starting with a “C” just don’t need to.

And, personally, I’m a bit onfused as to which word is being referred to so, to make life easier for myself and anyone else, here’s an easy reference guide for ommonly used “C” words on the board.

Forthwith, teams Arlton, Ollingwood (the Olliwobbles) and West Oast an now exist.  Geelong an now be referred to as the ‘Ats’, Adelaide as the “Rows”.

Players likewise.  Ogs/Oughlan, Ambo/Ampbell, Hris Newman, Hris Hyde, Mark Haffey (no relation to Tom – different spelling) are acceptable.

With this onvenient and easy to use system, no one need ever go to the swear bench for such a rime, because it takes the guess work out of what’s acceptable and what’s not.  Even if it does put the Word spell hecker into a spin.

Is that ool with everyone?

I think WP is talking about C@ro, TS. I agree with WP on this one. The four letter c word is a disgrace and offensive to many.
