Wallace's recorded interview on club corner:

Part 1: http://www.sport927.com.au/gateway/Daily_Audio/Sound%20Grabs/TW_220305.asx

Part 2: http://www.sport927.com.au/gateway/Daily_Audio/Sound%20Grabs/TWW_220305.asx

------------------

Interesting story TW told about Hyde. When Terry first outlined his new running and flowing gameplan, Hyde went up to him and said he wouldn't be able to play that way as he was nothing more than a tagger!  :o Explains alot of the state of mind of some of our guys after last year :banghead. Just no confidence whatsoever in playing their own natural game under the previous coaching staff :(.

Good on Hydey for putting his head down and work his backside off over summer. Wallace said he's lead the way at adapting to the new more attacking style :thumbsup

its strange hyde even felt like that, df must have screwed him bad! i always saw potential in hyde , he has gr8 foot skills and always believed he would make a gr8 hard running attacking on baller! he was actually one of rare onballers who couls hit targets and smack richo lace out!

The interview with TW goes for about 40 minutes.  Maybe it’s just me, but he mostly seemed to be asked questions we’ve already read or heard the answers to, which was disappointing, from my point of view.

Is fairly comprehensive and worth listening to for those not bothered reading all the press stuff that comes out.  For others, from what I can remember, the only revealing piece of information was probably about Hyde, which MT mentioned.

From what was said Monday night, Club Corner will have a slightly different format this year.

There will be more interviews and some weeks there will be no talk back calls taken.

Surely the format couldn’t be any more tired than the previous couple of years.

Nah you're right TS. Apart from the story on Hyde it was going over old ground. I'd guess as the vast majority of Tiger supporters don't visit internet forums nor get to practice games or training that it probably was worthwhile for them for Terry to summarize what's happened over the pre-season. For the rest of us it's more hanging out for Sunday to see the boys in action  :thumbsup.

its strange hyde even felt like that, df must have screwed him bad!

It showed in the way he played though. On a HBF he would usually dish off a short pass to a more experienced teammate (Cambo most of the time) instead of making the play himself. That would tie in with him feeling like nothing more than just a tagger last year. Agree X, good riddens to the previous coaching staff if they caused a young player to have such little belief in his own abilities  :banghead.
