Should give him a run with role for the rest of the year and see how he goes. He may squib it up or he may find some contested ball, who knows

Just play him where he will get the ball, at the moment he literally looks like he is on a social jog around the local park and occasionally picks up a ball from someone elses kick to kick.

Again this is where the criticism of Hardwick is warranted, clearly something is not working but he refuses to change things up. Surely current positions are worth some experimentation given our current circumstance.

Play him......in another team.

Really sad this has happened to his career.

Honestly feel like the squibiness was coached into him. Could have been a gun but now he's likely to be a middling footballer his whole career unless somebody else can coach him onto the right path. He has some real weapons like his running, goal kicking and marking.

Problem is he is already finding the ball and that's why he gets a game albeit it all being on the outside and him being a poor kick (which hasn't always been the case). That's why we need to move him, not just play him where he'll get the ball because he already does

Disagree with the other comment about his squibiness being coached into him, he's always been a squib

He must have. Heaven forbid we actually TRY something for the remaining four games. Oh I forgot, the protocol is to just whinge whinge and whinge that something must be done. Surely that'll fix it

seems to have worked a treat so far

Ellis is a prime example of the hardwick effect.  Recruited as a hard running attacking confident long kicking midfielder and has turned into an indecisive backward kicking dud.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?
