I don't think he had a great game against Port. He is young and learning and needs to bulk up. He will gain more confidence when he bulks up.

needs to bulk up?

think you might have ellis confused with someone else.

size is not an issue at all, pace may be though.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

He does still needs to bulk up. He has good definition for his age, but he is all chest and arms. Needs plenty of work on shoulders, legs and back.  As an 18/19 YO he has plenty of physical development ahead of him, which is a good thing. He aint tall so he should be aiming to be very solidly built.

Ellis was just on Hutchy's show TAC Cup Future Stars. Ellis said he was expecting to play VFL in his first year but Dimma has taken him under his wing and has shown a lot of confidence in him. Hutchy told him he was fortunate to play in that Richmond team in his first year (as in Richmond are now on the up and it's a good time to be apart of it).

He was peeing himself laughing as the others were debating Hawthorns misery. I like Brandon Ellis he has the right attitude and thats to pee on other clubs and then laugh at em.  :thumbsup

to me he still plays as if he lacks a bit of self belief.

cant wait until he feels like he belongs at this level and flourishes

why 18 posesions in 51 minutes of footy not enough for you. he doesn't look tired. isn't performing as if hes tired and is being used sparingly ie tog and  roles hes being asked to play. why on earth would you want to rest such a good ball user whos showing more than enough for his age and experience.

The kid doesn't need a rest. He was good yesterday but his spectating of contests is going to cost us at some stage.

lol....Don't drop Ellis but lets drop two guys who has 26 possessions 4 tackles and 4.2goals between them and another guy that has 21 possessions and 2 goals  :lol :lol

I agree Ellis isn't ready to be dropped yet but some of your rational Claw is unbelievable  :lol

He definitely needs to strengthen up and that is understable given this is his first year of football at afl level. By strengthening up more he will be able to stand up in tackles
