Newman veteran-listed
« on: November 29, 2011, 04:24:03 PM »
Newy has been moved onto the veterans' list inside our senior list.

From Patrick Keane's twitter:

"Veteran list players for 2012, in club order, are: M Doughty. S Black, J Brown. B Johnson, C Tarrant. Carlton - nil. D Fletcher, D Hille.

2012 veterans, pt 2; A Grover, M Pavlich. M Scarlett, J Corey. Suns nil. GWS nil. C Bateman, M Osborne. B Green. B Harvey. D Cassisi.

'12 veterans, pt3; C Newman. L Hayes, J Koschitzke. J Bolton, A Goodes. D Cox, D Glass. L Gilbee, R Hargrave. ends"

"Newman, Hayes, Koschitzke, Bolton and Goodes are veterans inside their club lists. All other players are veterans outside their club lists."

So that means for us to take McCarthy we have to de-list someone

Wonder who it will be  :rollin :rollin

What was the benefit in promoting him inside the list?

you need approval from the afl to list him as a veteran, which must be done before he is moved outside the list. it's basically a pre approval so he can now be moved to the veterans list if desired to do so.

Yeah, I get that Blaisee but my question was about the benefit.  I didn't see how moving him "inside" was a benefit to us but as Al says, we had to do it first prior to moving him "outside".
