50 games isn’t usually considered a huge milestone, but I think we can make an exception for Cogs, considering the impact he has made in such a short time and that he won a B&F after just 42 games.

Good luck to Mark for his 50th game and for the season.    Hope injuries stay away and let him further his career and give him the chance to get to the level he’s capable of.

Geez, only 50 games.  It seems like he's one of our veterens with the impact he's had with his limited games, and by the fact that more than half the squad is younger than him.  How important is this guy?  Young enough to lead us for many years, and good enough to be the perfect example to the flock of kids coming through.  Let's hope he's fully over his injury.

The Brisbane praccy match brought back some good memories of Cogs in his prime.  One example was when he crashed into a pack, bowled over Voss, kept his feet, found the footy and dished off.  I said "yes, it looks like he's back !!".

How did he go in the intra-club match last friday?

He seemed to have a fairly quiet game, from what I can remember Harry.  Although I have to say I was only half watching, due to outside influences.

The good thing was that he stayed out there the whole time and even after the game was still out there for autographs.

From that, hopefully we can assume he’s ok, otherwise he would have been inside straight after the match, or probably just not played, you would think.

Received one of the loudest cheers when he was presented with his jumper.

Well said Harry. The efforts set by Cogs and even a couple of the other younger guys in terms of skill, hardness, leading by example, footy smarts etc just goes to show that we as a Club accepted a poorer standard over the past decade from most of our so called best players and leaders than what was required. At a top club they would be just good ordinary middle tier players. As Caro pointed out if Otto was never and never wanted to be a leader why was he put in our leadership group  ???.

Congrats to Cogs on 50 games        . Hopefully he's totally recovered his groin injury and he reminds those who have forgotten him (hello to Mike and Walls) on Sunday why he is our most valuable player.

Hope he tears 'em apart. I don't think he has the best footy nous but the way he attacks the ball is sensational, courageous as anything.
