I thought Jells park was a good destination, spose punt rd is more central for people from all parts of melbourne. Catering should be easily fixed by simply allowing more of the roadside vendors in to set up their vans, Im sure there'd be no shortage of volunteers

I should've rocked up at 7 am with two spits one with lamb and the other with pork and chicken.
The salads and tzatziki would have been dutifully prepared by Mum and everybody would have eaten like a Greek oops I mean Kings.

Greeks can easily solve any RFC catering issue and RFC board issue.

after being in the autograph queue for the Bingle Tent for 90 minutes, , got signed the kids jumpers at approx 11.55am
Looked across the road at the Railway station, people were streaming in then.

Bigger venue more amenities and more vendors. Live and learn I guess.
I am sure a good season this year and a good pre season next year will ensure the hype is maintained and overheads will be far outweighed by membership,merchandise and memorabilia sales and general interest not to say extra corporate sponsorship wanting to ride the wave.

why couldnt they have it in the car park or utilise the MCG Facilites.?

Perhaps we under esitmated how many would turn up based on it being back at home (aka Punt Road)

Problems getting into the car park

The tiolet queues were monsterous and not just for the ladies , not enough food vendors and the queues to autographs were unbelievable

But like jack said I don't know what the answer is....

About a dozen lambs on spits on the hot coals, heaps of pita bread, abit of tomoto and onion and some rolls and there ya go. Next year I might rock up with a souvlaki van

Should have had the food van from the G.. Those chicken and lettuce rolls ive been craving them since our last game at the g.. mmm chickeny greasey goodness and those hot jam doughnuts for desert.

There is also the issue of rain and potential damage to the surface.can tell you they have had there fingers crossed all week.lucky the weather was great
