Nathan Thompson was in the chair hosting.

Summary

* Played all 22 games in 2011 and is transferring that free of injury run through the preseason. Has only missed two sessions. It's good to get all the training sessions under your belt.

* Fair rehab group coming back from the offseason break as a number of guys had post-season ops but most of the group is in full training post-Christmas. Jack (will be back in full training very shortly) and a couple of others still in rehab but mostly everyone else is in full training.

* Jack - had a few ops in the end. Fitness staff have been cautious with him. He's moving well within the rehab group and jumping around the changerooms like he should be training so he's not far away.

* Community camp - good to get away and visit schools, nursing homes, hospitals and the local community. A good opportunity for people up in Mildura to see the Tiges, get some autographs and for us to have a kick around.

* Developing some good depth in the midfield group now and we have Maric now to help in the ruck.

* Derickx - going really well. Had a injury interrupted season last year but is going well now over the preseason. Got 3-4 ruckman now fighting for the ruckman spot which is what you need.

* Maric - was in the leadership group at Adelaide and has slotted in really well and hasn't missed any training sessions. Hopefully can transfer that to the season proper.

* Preseason training hasn't really changed under Hardwick. Focus on fitness and gameplan. We've all seen from Geelong and Collingwood how they know and perform their structures well. So you put a lot of time into that.

* Not sure when our first practice game will be but it will be good to get back into playing footy rather than just running laps.

* Cuz - heard about that this morning and wished Ben and his family well.
