Bogey teams
« on: January 19, 2012, 09:00:05 PM »
The AFL site has a list of bogey teams for most sides:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/128012/default.aspx

We've got a few  :-\. I've added more to list on top of the ones listed in the article.

Longest outstanding non-winning sequences: club v club
14 St Kilda v Richmond, since round 19, 2003 ................... our last win was round 5, 2003.
9 Bulldogs v Richmond, since round 20, 2005 ................... our last win was round 3, 2005.
7 Geelong v Richmond, since round 6, 2007 ............. from our past 50 games against the Cats we've won just 12  :P  :help
7 Carlton v Richmond, since round 14, 2008 .............. from our past 50 games against the archenemy we've won just 15  :scream
4 Collingwood v Richmond, since round 3, 2008
3 Hawthorn v Richmond, since round 21, 2009 ................. our last win round 20, 2008

Not a pretty sight!  :P. Some major payback is due.

I'll be disappointed if we don't wipe the slate clean with the first two. Both sides on the slide especially the Saints.

We picked off Melbourne last year, I think they were at 4 wins...
Really need to do something about that Carlton bogey, stifles confidence going into round 1 imo  :help

Really want to beat Hawthorn and Cats but would settle if we thrashed the bulldogs and St. Kilda

That's right, now let's start with carlton!
Play the doggies at the g, so I'm hoping we get a good turn out to cheer on the boys as we eat em alive.

Geelong is just an abysmal record, go to the second link and look at for/against scoring at kardinia...

Great thread.

If we come out 50/50 with those teams,we will most likely make the 8.

I for one would like to congratulate 65 on her first non-political post on this site.
