Yes but he won't be making that money for very long unless he becomes exceptionally good. I think the life of a failed afl footballer is not that great.

oooh boy, gee our pre draft appraisals are working well ::)

Draft appraisals were okay, there was just a little mix-up with names.  ;)
TOM McDonald = tall key forward (Pick 53, 194cm, 88kg)
DEAN MacDonald = mid sized forward.  (Pick 51, 184, 87)

Red dropped this bomb and nobody gave it any interest. If this is true then whoever read out the name should have been SACKED! Why pay a bloke money to do a job when they cant even stuffen read out the proper stuffen name at the draft. What the stuff is goin on at Richmond?

Alberts, do you think its professional that our club goes to a draft with a list of players to draft and then they read out the wrong players name and take a namesake player instead of the one they were intending to take. Seriously common Al. If this actually happened its a dead set joke and their should have been consequences.

Thats a big IF though flagman.

Why are you so keen to believe something negative about the club that is most probably just a wind up.

Is finding a reason to bag them so important to you, even if it's most probably untrue?

Red dropped this bomb and made the allegation. All I can comment on is the allegation. Where there's smoke theres fire I reckon. I dont see why Red would make something like that up, there'd be no point in it.

Generally people what they want to believe, often with very thought of the likelihood of the claims.

On draft day they must read out the players numbers and full name. I remember reading somewhere if they dont match up they forfeit that pick. so to get it wrong they would have to have read the wrong name and number. For 1 person on their own to make such a mistake is pretty unlikely, for a group of people to collectively get that so wrong is just about incomprehensible

Then we had the leaks before the draft. Remember this thread?
http://oneeyed-richmond.com/forum/index.php?topic=12196.0

I see Dean Mcdonald, but not a Tom Mcdonald and from memory the Dmac page described a solidly built medium sized player not a lanky tall. OE didnt put the players not drafted, but tom was drafted by Melbourne.

But hey, if you're so hell bent on believing every negative thing mentioned about the club so you can go on a bagging spree, who am I to get in the way with a little logic?

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

I think Caroline Wilson has stolen the Flagmans account  ;D

Which is why they should provide more info on these matters, as I have said a million times.

Hmmm...how about,it's his private business and mind your own.

I'm a fierce believer of guarding ones private life.
Some people think they own others rights and believe they have a right to know, for example, just because they barrack for the club.

More a case of jumping at shadows rather than there being any smoke IMHO Flags. But if you want to believe there is even the slightest bit on merit to the comment then you go for it, personally I thought it was just this  :lol

Al makes a great point - on draft day you can't read out a player rego number and then read out the wrong name. You do that and you lose that pick. Clubs don't make those types of mistakes
