Andrew Krakouer has been given a four-week leave of absence by Collingwood
COLLINGWOOD has granted forward Andrew Krakouer a four-week leave of absence to deal with personal issues.
Both parties agreed to the leave of absence so that Krakouer could tackle the personal issues without the pressure of normal training and playing commitments.
"The issues that Andrew is dealing with are of a personal nature, and we will be supporting him in every way possible during this period," Collingwood director of football Geoff Walsh said.
"Andrew is held in high regard at Collingwood and we look forward to his return to team training in due course."
Krakouer will undertake a revised training regimen over his break to maintain fitness and skills.
The 29-year-old returned to senior football last season after a three-year absence, kicking 35 goals in 23 appearances.
