they've used us as witches hats a few times tucker.

they grind you down and if you crack they slaughter you.

the kids tonight didn't crack.

Under Hardwick they haven't done it to us.

We've had a crack against them and have won in both 2010 and 2011.

Even last year Swans didn't really slaughter anyone although other than Geelong late in the season.

Was a good night. Lots of tigers about. Not sure how it looked on tele but was disappointing the wings weren't full, but not surprised considering they were $60+ tickets. Swans members had to pay to get in and giants members had to pay to upgrade their seats from GA. Most opted to take the GA seats behind the goals. Will be interesting to see the crowds when they move in to their new stadium next door.

Tell you what there were some effing hilarious giants supporters on the turps having an absolute ball. But who can't love AFL?

Swans supporters can suck it though, prissy arrogant Chardonnay sipping clap happy cheese sniffers. Long live the westies.

thanks,
gg

The first half was better than expected. Giants were very competitive in general play and before they tired their defensive structures held up. What surprised me most was Cornes and McDonald looked like their oldselves. A shame McDonald will get a holiday for his shirtfront as he lead from the front showing the Giants wouldn't be pushed around physically. Of their kids Coniglio and Greene most impressed. What's mostly going to see GWS get flogged is their lack of big targets up forward to lead up and go long to. Ted Richards and Grundy were just being fed uncontested aimless long balls.

Have to say the crowd didnt look too bad on the TV. Lower level on the wing opposite the broadcast side looked reasonably full, upper deck empty

Thought the Giants did OK. Some of those kids are going to be guns and a there were a couple I thought would have been better. One in particular looked lost and pulled out of a couple of contests which was disappointing  :shh

Name names?  ;D

Folau looked lost but that's not unexpected. Until he learns to run back and lead up he won't get a kick as a forward.

Folau is playing as a KPP atm so if he does succeed in AFL IMHO it will be more of an achievement considering where he came from compared to Karmichael Hunt who is playing as a running mid/half back where some of your deficiencies can go under the radar at times.
Either way well done to both kids. :thumbsup

An 18 year old pulling out of a contest that is just stuffing outrageous. ;D You should look at how Vickery went in his early Coburg games and also how he went about it in some of his Richmond games. Played like a fairy. The bloke is a beast now.

All true

But when it's you and an opponent chasing after the ball and you stop because it appears you don't want the bigger body to hit you it's not a good look  ;D

From AFL_AdamMcNicol twitter:

"James McDonald can accept 2-game ban for engaging in rough conduct on Luke Parker. MRP ruled negligent conduct, high impact and high contact."

High contact :-\ :-\ Confusing as he didn't seem to hit Parker's head

Thought it was close to a perfect "hip 'n' shoulder"   :-\ :P

Pretty frustrating to those of us with James in our DTs.

and it appears other clubs actually do have players that get suspended. although I'm sure there's a few people out there that just can't admit that we're not being treated harshly ;D
