A couple of surprises early on in the other games today...

GWS has got the jump on their newbie rivals Gold Coast. Up 26 - 9 at 1/4 time.

Adelaide is flogging Geelong. Up by 50 points just before half-time.

GC are very inconsistent and I don't blame McKenna for that. One week they nearly beat the bombers the next they lose(flogged) by the lions who you would of expected them to beat if they performed the same as they did the week before. Same happened today. Went close to beating Fremantle last weekend if they repeated that performance they would of beat GWS but didn't.

As for Voss surely another review beckons at the end of the year over his future.

Ninth Melbourne lost to the Doggies  . Good for us  . If it wasn't for the charity fixture they were given the Roos would probably only have one win.

Well done to the Giants on their first win yesterday. Made of mockery of the footy journos who said they wouldn't win any games. Sheeds and Williams have done well instilling defensive structures into such a young list so quickly. They will still get flogged by any decent side but against the bottom sides they'll be a show. Right now you would tip them against the Dees.
