Why would they only have one win? They're a decent side.
Two of North's three wins have been against GWS and GC. A good side wouldn't lose to the rebuilding Dogs this year.

They have Port and Brisbane in the next two weeks. So the AFL gave them 5 of the bottom 6 sides in the first 9 rounds with another go at both GWS and GC later in the year. Talk about a charity fixture. Despite that they are no certs to make the finals when any decent side would canter into September with that soft draw.

Does a Premiership side often lose to a bottom 8 club fromt the previous season? The Roos go alright. Beat us in the battle for 9th last season.

Now known as the Ellis-McKenzie cup... :whistle
LOL.

Anyone whose been on this forum for long enough will know I don't rate winning meaningless late season games. I was happy we didn't finish 9th and gained Ellis (and Morris).

So a win doesn't count towards the end of the season? Were we not trying in that game? North were a better side than us last year and they're going alright this year. Face it and move on.

:cheers

not happy with this result.

Saints will be a club that will be fighting for that 7/8th spot, with us.

would rather have the Blues smash them

Meh. We've just got to keep winning, not worrying about who else does.
If we do then the ladder position takes care of itself.

Exactly if we keep winning who cares what others do. :thumbsup

That umpire has wrecked what was a great clash between geelong and collingwood.
Very Very soft 50m especially when it puts them right in front like that.

Cats kicked 5.12 in the second half. Should have buried the filth well before that umpiring blunder swayed the contest in the favour of the scums.

Both teams are not the dominant force of last year. Geelong of 2007-11 would never have lost that game. Neither team will win the flag IMHO.

We beat the bums tomorrow night we are higher than the Cats on the ladder after round 8. :thumbsup

The 3rd quarter kicking for goal by the cats was terrible. Tom Hawkins needs to fix his set shots. Should of goaled that free kick but instead it was a point(looked out on the full to me). Even in that last 10 minutes the ball was in there forward 50 for most of the time but didn't convert. Collingwood aren't as good as they was in 10/11 but I think on there day they could still beat most of the top 8.

Collingwood may steam home once they start getting some more of their injured players back and everyone settles in. Massive improvement tonight even with only a few ins.

The worst game of football I have ever seen! The skill errors from both sides make us look elite!!
