That was my initial thoughts. They'd be sweating on it is ce there will be no appearance from Carlton, Essendon or Richmond. But stuff them. I want to see n0rf suffer.

Have to love the AFL trying to cash in on finals a week early by having all of last year's finalists play off in the final round. Probably in hope all or most of them would be playing for things like home finals and such. I guess by the way they fixtured us this year and having Port to finish off they never anticipated us making it either.

They didnt bank on Freo making it either. If results go the right way Freo could end up 6th with a home final, the same weekend West Coast have a home final sewn up and the Wallabies are also booked into Pattersons on the Saturday.

Pity the ****s that have to play on the ground after the rugby  :cheers

Hawks timing their run at the finals perfectly and looking ominous to waltz home with the flag now they will finish first and won't have to travel.

Doing enough to win tonight but playing really well.

Only weakness is their backline as they have no monsters down there but still will be very hard to topple at the moment the way they are playing.

Yep their backline really depends on Shoenmakers. He played well tonight but in the past he's got the jitters in big games. The Hawks looked like they won the centre clearances and given the Eagles had to shut the game down after 1/4 time the Hawks always had numbers down back to avoid any of their defenders being exposed 1-on-1.

For the Eagles, their bottom six was badly exposed tonight as being too small and too easily pushed aside by the bigger bodied Hawks. Josh Hill was the worst. He would make Jordan McMahon look good at contested footy. Playing from behind, one handed attempts at marks and running under the ball to avoid any contact. Just lazy and soft when playing against any decent opposition.

One thing tonight showed again is that interstate sides find it harder to play at the 'G than at Docklands especially at night. A number of times Eagle players struggle to read the flight of the ball. ALL our home games should be at the 'G. We may still drop a home game against an interstate side at the 'G now and then (Freo this year  :scream) but over time playing at the 'G is a significant advantage which we lose being forced to play home games at Docklands.

not sure if it can happen but would love to see Cats beat Hawks again in the finals

They are a supreme organization down there.

Hard not to like Cats or Swans the way they go about it.

Hard to see the Swans winning it when they struggle against good sides in Victoria especially on the bigger grounds. They now have to travel to play Adelaide at Footy Park after losing their last two games.

The Cats are hanging around in the race and will now play either North or Freo in Melbourne. Probably the only side outside the top 4 who could do it come September IMO. Chappy will be a big loss though if he gets rubbed out.

Toby Greene in his last nine games has averaged 33.3 disposals which is on par with Ablett's average this year. This kid is still 18 years old so imagine what he's going to be like when he's 22-23 and has a more mature GWS side around him. The kid's a freak!

Nought couldn't even beat GWS well to at least stay in mMelbourne. Looks like the bubble has burst and the fact they had a soft draw will be exposed next week in the parochial finals cauldron of Perth where West Coast will show them that Skataboner Spirit means squat in September August July June May April March and any other month of the year to the tune of 10 gals plus. :lol :rollin :lol
