Nought couldn't even beat GWS well to at least stay in mMelbourne. Looks like the bubble has burst and the fact they had a soft draw will be exposed next week in the parochial finals cauldron of Perth where West Coast will show them that Skataboner Spirit means squat in September August July June May April March and any other month of the year to the tune of 10 gals plus. :lol :rollin :lol

The two wins over Geelong and Collingwood has really hyped them up to be a team they are not. As you said this weekend in Perth they should get smashed.

Just curious to see which teams you think will win this week?
who will progress and who will drop out?

Winners this week for me are:
Collingwood def hawthorn
West coast def nought
Geelong def freo (just)
Adelaide def sydney (close)

then:

hawks def west coast
geelong def sydney

then:
collingwood def geelong
hawthorn def adelaide
to setup a collingwood vs hawthorn grandfinal

Im probably wrong but lets see... :shh

Game is going at pretty fast pace so far.
Not sure who will drop off first. Hawthorn are in better form but a few injuries could give collingwood that 1% extra in the last quarter.

Talk about intense. Old school brute force footy (what Dimma has been teaching us). A quarter of momentum swings as well. Hawks early but didn't put it on the scoreboard; Pies then got on top in the midfield for 5 mins to hit the lead; Hawks then get a lucky goal (Roughead not pinged for holding the ball) to swing the momentum back and get on top. Hawks look to have the better ammo but as you say tiger101 injuries could hurt them in the long run during the finals series. First Guerra last week and now Whitecross looks to have done his ACL.

Tonight it seems like Collingwood could go on a quick burst of goals at any time.

Now I've said that the hawks will probably go bang bang and get back to back goals within a couple of minutes.

And they did as predicted tiger101 ;D

Another dodgy free swings the momentum although it was paid against Maxwell so who cares lol.

Geelong and Hawks is a match up of the finals I wanna see the most.
I think we will see a hawks v collingwood grand final now though.

I hope neither of these two win the flag as both sets of supporters are unbearable. Rather an interstate side wins it so we won't hear anything over summer here in Melbourne. Mind you the Hawks are looking too good at the minute. Only Geelong if they make the Granny would make them feel nervous.

Geelong and Hawks can only clash in a prelim can't they?

Geelong beat Freo they go on to play loser of Sydney and Crows, then on to Hawks if they get through that?
