Insurer Bingle extends Richmond support06 March 2012 | Posted in Sponsorship, Australian rules football, Oceania | By Michael LongBingle, Australia's leading provider of online car insurance, has extended its commitment as a major backer of AFL side Richmond for a further year.
The company initially signed as a back-of-guernsey sponsor of the Tigers for the 2011 AFL season. According to a club statement, ‘the partnership will continue to focus on building brand recognition and creating unique and engaging opportunities to connect with consumers to drive customer growth.’
"It's a tremendous result for Richmond to continue its partnership with Bingle for a further year," said Richmond chief executive Brendon Gale. "This early renewal announcement is a strong indication of Bingle's support for the direction we are heading, both on and off the field. We are proud of our partnership and excited by the prospects of continuing our relationship over the coming years.”
In February, the club announced that its other major sponsor, Chrysler-owned car brand Jeep, had extended its commitment for an additional three years. "We have now extended the partnerships of both our major sponsors,” said Gale, “after Jeep recently pledged their commitment to the Yellow and Black until at least the end of 2014."
Bingle marketing manager Nicole Nuthall added: "Our relationship with the team at Richmond has been extremely rewarding and we greatly value the partnership. We talked a lot last year, when first signing on as a major sponsor, about the great link our two brands share in that we are young, emerging, hungry for success and ready to take on the 'big boys'.
"This still holds true today, and we look forward to seeing some of this success come to fruition over coming seasons."
Though financial terms of the agreement were not released, Bingle’s commitment, like Jeep’s, is estimated to be worth in excess of US$1 million annually.http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/insurer_bingle_extends_richmond_support/
