The Tigers' midfield will get a significant boost by the inclusions this week of Trent Cochin, Daniel Jackson, Nathan Foley and Shaun Grigg, who were all rested in their 38-point loss to Fremantle in Perth on Sunday.

Ty Vickery has been cleared of any major damage after he corked a thigh against the Dockers.

Richmond could be the first rival club to experience the windy conditions likely at Geelong this season due to the demolition of the Doug Wade Stand behind the goals at the southern end.

With seven home matches this season at Simonds Stadium, and given the strong winds that can prevail in Geelong, the Cats have been practising how best to play the expected difficult conditions until the ground redevelopment in completed.

No Deledio....

RICHMOND has denied Brett Deledio has a serious injury after ruling him out of Saturday's NAB Cup clash against Geelong at Simonds Stadium.
Deledio strained his hamstring in an intra-club practice match at Whitten Oval early last month, but he had hoped to play his first competitive game this weekend to gain touch before the start of the premiership.

Tigers football manager Craig Cameron, said his club was taking a conservative approach with Deledio, particularly as it was the first time he has had a muscle strain.

"He 's fine. There are no dramas and he should be right to play the following week," Cameron said.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Why not play a quarter or a half? This will be the 4th week, that's more than enough time for a minor hammy strain. He'll be lacking touch come rnd 1

3rd week actually TM. :thumbsup

Will be 4 weeks if he lines up in NAB 4 and will get to 6 by round 1.

Will be a little more concerned if he does not play at all in NAB 4.

Just a quick note.  For the rugby (Feb 6), the pre-purchased ticket guys had to queue with the walk up starts.  the ticket handling in Geelong was a total and utter schemozzle.  10 people in the ticket office, 4 people serving and probably one brain cell shared between them.  If you're going I suggest that you get there early.  I queued 30 minutes for a ticket with a 5000 crowd.

The car parking was just as bad.

Thanks HKTiger

Must say the whole set up at Simmonds Stadium Geelong is a schemozzle all the time

Dreading our clash down there in April (round 4) and BTW tickets for that one go on sale a fortnight before the game

I've posted this in the Coburg thread as well.

Coburg's practice match this weekend will be the curtainraiser to the Richmond vs Geelong game at Kardinia Park.

Coburg vs Geelong
Kicks off at 11.30am.

So if you get down there early you'll probably see a few of our cubs running around for Coburg.
