Will be interesting to see what sort of line up the Giants take in to this considering they have to play their R1 next week.

Gerks, as I have been sifting for DT Gems, I've been looking at GWS quite closely and I noticed that they've had a lot of lineup changes in each of their NAB games. So you would expect them to field a close to full strength in preparation for round 1. Sheeds would love a win over his old club too. IMO I think we need to go with a full strength lineup for this clash.

Ok I will bow to the great minds of the OER Forum and the Coching staff at the club and go along with the Full strength side. Im like all of you, focused on beating Carlton RD1 and if this is the best way then who am I to argue.

Smash those Giants guys, let them know what they will face later in the year.

And this is a game that we should win easy and bury them.

Absolutely Tiga, that's exactly what we should be aiming for as a club and when we achieve it the flags will follow.

Preview: Giants v Tigers
By James Dampney
Wed 14 Mar, 2012

WHERE AND WHEN: Manuka Oval, Canberra, Saturday, 17 March, 12.30pm AEDT
LAST TIME: First meeting
TV & RADIO: www.afl.com.au/broadcast guide/tabid/9451/default.aspx

THE FOUR POINTS

Greater Western Sydney

1. Can the Giants take another step forward after upsetting Gold Coast last week for their first NAB Cup win? Not too many tipped GWS to beat the Suns and that seemed to include the Giants, who clearly still hadn't learned their new club song after the 13-point triumph. That result has to give them confidence as they take on the Tigers for the first time.

2. How many places are left in Kevin Sheedy's team for the round one clash with the Sydney Swans on March 24? AFL-experienced guns such as Callan Ward, Chad Cornes and Phil Davis are certainties to face the Swans, while the likes of Jeremy Cameron, Steve Clifton, Toby Greene and Anthony Miles have had good pre-seasons. But there is sure to be the odd spot still to be determined and a good showing against Richmond will help.

Richmond

3. While the Giants will be boosted by an upset win over Gold Coast, a 59-point thumping of the Cats in Geelong would have given Richmond an enormous injection of confidence. Can they show some consistency leading into the season and swat aside GWS in Canberra, or will some frailties again rear their heads?

4. Can Ivan Maric continue his strong pre-season and build on his growing cult status? While his impressive mullet has been drawing attention, it is the new recruit's stoppage work that will most be winning over the Richmond coaching staff. Facing Jonathan Giles in the ruck, and possibly Israel Folau, Maric's development should continue full steam ahead of round one.

A win between 5-7 goals is plenty :thumbsup
Would gain enough confidence from winning without having to be the schoolyard bullie this time round....

Leave that for round 12  :gotigers

many predators will catch but not kill a young prey animal, then use it to teach their young to kill.

this should be equivalent for our tiger cubs.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
