There'll be two AFL matches per week plus an hour highlights show shown in America on FOX SOCCER Plus this year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FOX SOCCER Plus is the new TV home for the AFL in the United States.

The League and the network announced a three-year deal on Wednesday that will lead to two matches per week being televised live in the US as well as a weekly one-hour highlights show.

The first match to be shown will be the derby clash between Greater Western Sydney and the Sydney Swans on March 24, followed on March 30 by Hawthorn and Collingwood.

A live telecast of the Grand Final to the US each year is part of the arrangement.

Fox Soccer Plus is a premium high-definition subscription TV service in the US. The NRL and the A-League are the other Australian sports properties featured on the network.

The move to Fox Soccer Plus for match broadcasts comes after two seasons with ESPN, which remains an AFL broadcast partner in several other international markets.

AFL matches are also streamed live, for a fee, in every country except for Australia and New Zealand through the AFL.LIVESPORT.TV website.
