Morris, Ellis, Batch and Conca can all hold there heads high! All put in, tried there guts out for young players hats off to them :clapping also special mention to Grigg, the jury was out for me but has strung two good consecutive games together as a midfielder and is showing some signs!
How handy would McKarthy be right now? Probably be keeping Jackson out of the side ::)
yeah, agree with this.

both games so far the opposition seem to be ensuring houli doesnt get any space but he keeps presenting and going when he has to. his defensive work is ok too.

Bar 10 unforgivable minutes in 3rd qtr - promising signs. Wheel slowly turning. Effort great, system slowly improving. A big scalp would do wonders.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Hardwick needs to send a big message. He has got 3 years. He is guaranteed his short term future. Now he must make a statement.

Next Week - DROPPED

Tyrone Vickery
Dan Jackson
Shane Edwards
Jacky Boy Riewoldt

should all play at Coburg and have a think about their footy.

Martin is very close to that list as well, not sure where his head is at ATM but he is no where near defensive enough and has a very small tank which doesn't help.

martin also seems to be doing a lot of the the blind bombs that so many criticise  tuck for.

speaking of tuck, he went awol in the third quarter when the scum got that run on. I like tucky but he should not be that critical to our fortunes  :huh

We had more: Kicks,Handballs,Marks and Hitouts. The efficiency issues surround our forward line and the s@*thouse delivery into it. Who is our forward line 'coach' again???

Dont know how many possessions Rance had but I reckon most were good or ok. And he seemed to get lots of the footy. The least of our problems is Alex Rance IMHO.

The final score flattered us but at least it'll keep our % decent going into round 3. We are improving but obviously still a long way off the big boys. When the Pies put their foot down we got blown out of the water. The main positive is we can see the guys who have the class to take our forward and those that don't. Lids stood up against the tide, Cotch's first half was brilliant and of the young guys liked Ellis, Conca and Morris while I gave Batch votes. Add Rance has been good at FB both this and last week.

I feel really sorry for the likes of Cotchin and Deledio. You can see these two boys are trying to lift the club by the bootstraps and we just dont have enough soldiers to help them out.
