Geelong's stadium redevelopment will strip $1 million from its bottom line this year and allow just more than 1000 Richmond supporters to see Sunday's clash.

The Cats will unfurl their premiership flag in front of more than 20,000 members, but work on a new 9000-seat southern stand will slash ground capacity.

The Tigers had tried to have the game moved, but Geelong chief executive Brian Cook said Richmond would still be represented.

The Richmond cheer squad will have 100 seats (down on 320 allowed at the MCG) and some supporters have booked some of the 400 seats and 1500 standing room tickets.

Absolute crap Brian  >:(

Members of Richmond with 16 game memberships had 200 tickets allocated for purchase which the RFC purchased and on sold to guarantee they went to RFC members only

The remaining "seats & standing room" tickets were put on sale the general public - which meant anyone including Geelong members without reserve seats could buy them....

DOn't make it sound like you looked after visting supporters, you haven't & didn't. Actually you not even lookng after your own members, 20K supposedly going out of 35k+  ::)

What's just as farcial is the fact that once the development is finished capacity will only be 31k ...... so you still wont be able to cater for the public

Tiges: quciker we start consistently wiining the sooner we wont have to visit that pathetci excuse for an AFL venue
