Richmond suffers stagefright on the big stage: Caro
« on: April 11, 2012, 06:49:33 PM »
Caro, Healy and Russell on 3aw at the moment. Healy mentioned Malthouse saying the other day that whoever loses out of Richmond vs Melbourne won't make the Top 8. Caro replied that Melbourne is a bit like GWS and Gold Coast at the minute and won't make the finals. Richmond were always an outside chance for the finals and she believes we can still finish 7th or 8th as our draw isn't too bad after the first 5-6 weeks. Clearly Richmond will go into this week as clear favourites. Caro then added that she believes however that Richmond suffers from stagefright in big games and this week in a must win game against a lowly opponent is another big game. Russell said if Richmond loses that will be the story rather than Melbourne winning.

Why aren't you confident?
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Its the responsibility of certain people at the club to ensure that mental development is part of the equation....hmmm,i wonder whose job it is?

Stage fright is rubbish.

Last year we lost to Gold Coast up in Cairns in front of 37 people.

Go Tigers!

And we pulled Hird and Sheedy's pants down and made them lick each other on the stump in their last game - with a dud list

Why aren't you confident?

Because we always choke when the pressure is on. FFS we lost to Gold Coast last year. Hope things have changed.
