Melbourne and North should merge: Kennett

FORMER Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett has called for the merger of Melbourne and North Melbourne to create a strong "Melbourne brand".

He told radio 3AW that the end of the existing TV rights deal in 2016 would be a good time for a merger to happen.
