I saw the last half of it so would've missed Dunkley pushing Richo towards the fence at the SCG  ::) that resulted in Richo doing his knee. I still believe that had we avoided Geelong by finishing top 2 with Freezer and Richo playing the whole season we would've had a genuine shot at the flag. If, buts, maybes sadly.

They replayed highlights of the 2001 SF. Leon Cameron sure was classy by foot and important in the win. It also reminds you the 'G is going to rock when we finally make it back into the finals. Hopefully this time around it'll be sustainable.

Richo admitted his frustration in his own performance was the reason he cracked it at teammates at times. He said be the end of his career he was able to use that passion in a positive way. Playing on the wing and being freed up would've helped.

ps. Richo sure played alongside many a dud in his time  :lol.

Sorry Coach. It's just that we as a club didn't make the most of Richo's career (and others) playing in mostly rubbish teams thanks to poor recruiting.

He is and was a champion in an absolute crap basket case club. His career speaks for itself. If u compare him to say Lynch from the lions he kills him in the averages but I didn't hear anyone complain about lynch missing goals.
I'm certain if the whole clubs fortunes weren't ontop Richo's shoulders week in week out and like lynch had a dominate midfield who could deliver the ball lace out or at the least to advantage and with the peace of mind that if he didn't kick a goal it wasn't the end of the world then Richo wouldve been spoken about in the same breathe as lockett and dunstall and Carey.
It's unfortunate the club was so poor during his career.
What upset me more than anything was when fellow Richmond suppporters wouldn't complain about the rubbish players we had but champion clubmen like him that wouldve died for the jumper. I got into many arguements with many idiot Richmond supporters over the years blaming richo for our troubles.
The club that keeps giving.
