Definitely agree with the backman comment and had we of received the draft picks according to ladder position over the past two years we would be in a better place right now...IMO

Is this guy kidding, stupid comment! For one we have enough of a team not to bottom out, actually we wont so that ends that.
Yes we need a top up, we still from my understanding have a bit of room in the salary cap and I would be getting in the ear of a few of the Suns and Giant boys to address this.

He kinda made up for it with his call of the Nahas goal, 'Got him with his slower ball' LMFAO  :rollin

We got Conca and Ellis.

The expansion teams' concession affected every teams drafting, not just ours.

I think it is clubs that have been there abouts but didnt take their opportunities, like st kilda and footscray, that are really going to feel the pinch over the next few years as their senior core ages and they lack the quality to replace them. our first round picks were still low enough to bring in quality players in the last two years to follow on with pick 3 (Martin) from the previous year

Sides like the 'Aints and the Dawgs are going to suffer more from GWS and GC Suns than we are. Their premiership window is closing and they got picks in the late teens. Leaves a big hole in their lists.

From Mark Robinson's live chat today ...

Q. Robbo what are your thoughts on the tiges, are there any specific players we should target in free agency to plug the back 6 or give jack a hand in the forward line?

A. "Tigers could still do with players at both ends... Need another tall defender, although Astbury layed a half for Coburg at the weekend [Ed.  :huh ]. Nahas can be inconsistent, so another mid forward would be nice... they are just two players, but as the Tigers evolve they will prop all areas of the ground"

I think its a shame that the two once upon a time best commentators on the television in Dennis and Bruce who actually called the game the way it should be called have resorted to gimmicks and sensationalist comments and headlines just like the trashy mags and rags.

Needs to revert back to what made him the best in the first place and call the game properly without trying to outdo the classics that have have made him who he is. Right now he is ordinary.

Commetti is just like Graham Kennedy.

Simple minded folk love his ad-lib comments.

The rest of us know how much he rehearses his lines.

"Great kick to "the Future"

"Butcher, does quite cut the mustard."

"thanks Bruce, you are so well informed"

"Blah blah blah"

Take note of the companies that advertise during his broadcasts, ring them up and tell them that YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS will never buy a product from them while THEY PAY FOR THIS MORON.

Goodbye Dennis Commentary.
