BTW Every player we recruit has the "average return" prospect, 3 years or 5 years, not much difference, look what we have been stuck with in the past...some for longer  than 5 years and no where near the calibre of Cloke. An average day out for Cloke is a great day out for a few of our current players.

I cant see how past mistakes is a justification for anything, not that we have ever signed anyone up for longer than five years that I can recall.
I thought your assessment of what you thought cloke would be worth paying a few pages back was fair, but now it's increased by 20%. Is there an upper limit to his worth, or is it simply impossible to pay too much for such a superstar?

Difference in money. I don't think paying Cloke 1m instead of 800k is going to make our flag prospects higher

Well 2 years, like I said we have players now that we have had for longer that don't perform....

Above is what you said al, what difference is this to mistakes we have made in the past?? So to use this statement now, why haven't we said that with all the players we picked in the past that didn't work out??

as i have said though, mistakes of the past are not justification for anything. If anything, they should pose a warning about overating players.

$1million to me is too much to pay for 1 player, although I acknowledge more will demand and get that in the future. (I can see cotch ending up on that sort of money)
