Tackling has improve heaps, no longer are we getting brushed aside with a wave of the hand like we were in 2009. Its getting better as the team develops.
We are still getting brushed aside in tackles however we have improved alot in the last couple of years. We are still to small as a side. Geelong have big bodied players, even there small forwards are huge. Adelaide under Sanderson have embarked upon a beefing up program, they are big and strong and look at them now they are powering on. Save for a catastrophe they will go on to win the flag this year. Even the essendon players have beefed up, I was surprised looking at them on sat night.
Our players are still to small and will not be able to go with the bigger sides and end up injured like the Mark Murphy's of the world. We absolutely have to 1. beef up 2. Trade for palyers that have bigger bodies 3. Recruit youngsters that have bodies that will develop into big strong bodies. 4. Make sure all these players can kick. 5. Make sure all these players have a fearce (sp) competitive drive in their make up. 6. love the hard stuff.
