Don't know what time the ressies scratch match is today? Will it be played at Waverley?

Tigers and Hawks kiss VFL break goodbye
The Age
May 25, 2012

TO OVERCOME the bugbear of consecutive VFL byes that deprive key players of match fitness and continuity, Richmond and Hawthorn have organised a ''scratch match'' for their reserves today.

Geelong and Essendon also sought to give players match practice by organising a ''friendly'' in response to the weekend's across-the-board bye due to representative football. But the Cats were unable to find the numbers to field a team and had to pull out.

The scratch match has emerged as the logical response by AFL teams to the problem of having more byes, including consecutive weekends without a reserves team.

I'm sure you'd be slamming the club if a youngster like Astbury got injured in this nothing game.

Sorry Monk, they are better off having an indoor session than play in this
If they have a few weeks off, some hard running sessions wouldnt do any harm

although the way the grounds are presented these days make it very rare for grounds to be really rain affected
