How far can the tigers go in 2012 ?
« on: June 04, 2012, 04:48:17 PM »
Yes...we are all getting a tad excited . I have been in a state of euphoria ever since we smashed the Hawks.

Rd 1   Carlton beat us fair and square.
Rd 2   I thought the score board was a touch flattering

Then has come the best 8 week period Richmond has had in a decade. We could have won 8 in a row not withstanding the toughest fixture in the history of the AFL.

Is the style of football we are playing sustainable ? - or as a few have stated are we just a couple of injuries away from disaster.

No disrespect to the Dockers and the GWS but that should be wins number 6 and 7.

If we can beat Adelaide on their own turf ( which I acknowledge is a mighty challenge, probably beyond us) we may see something I have never seen on OER before  and that is Richmond and  the P word being used in the same sentence.

For the record I now have the tigers winning 14 games and playing the ailing bombers in the first week of the finals.

Is it sustainable? IMO very much so. As long as we don't get a Pies/Blues run of injuries we will be fine. We aren't fluking wins and are winning because of a set game plan. Just look at the backline. Player goes out injured (Grimes/Dea/Batchelor) someone else steps in.

*Can go all the way.  :shh :gotigers :whistle

Never said we cannot win just don'think we will

We have to make finals first and last time I checked we were 10th on the ladder not actually in the 8

So let's get into the 8 first and then see what happens  ;D

lets avoid a mid season form slump before we cream our tweeds.

Spoken like a man who was witness to the start of a mid season form slump about this time last year.   :help
