Do we risk Jack vs GWS?
« on: June 11, 2012, 12:43:22 PM »
I think we should put him on ice for 2 weeks, GWS rest and a Bye.
We need him firing come 2nd half of the year.
We should be able to beat GWS without Jack comfortably. If we can't then the playing for finals is pointless so no harm done.

Go Tigers!

My argument is if we lose to GWS without Jack then our finals dream is over and therefor risking him to play and get a win is pointless if we cant beat GWS without him.

A week is a long time in football if you asked anyone if we should rest Jack after the Saints win against GWS you'd get 95% yes.

GWS are also coming off a bye which historically has been near impossible to win after.

Can't see us losing to GWS after losing to Freo. I'm confident of a result.
Go Tigers!

i hope we want the body contact more than we did against freo! GWS play a pretty hard at the contest type game, we'll want to be on

He shouldn't have even gone back out against Freo. The whole situation was not assessed properly- it was clearly an ankle turn which is 2 weeks. We are playing Freo on a wet deck with GWS and the bye coming up, and with other excellent full forward options available including Deledio, Cotchin and Mullet, I was surprised he came back out. And he was useless on one leg anyhow.

If it was a 2nd semi or a prelim, by all means jab him then nurse it through the finals.

Week off for sure.

Give him a week off. Will be three weeks rest by the time we play Adelaide.

I think we can bounce back without him anyway. The rest will be valuable to him.
