From about 1.13
Notice Cameron swinging his elbow back into Batch's chest right in front of the ump but that was allowed; yet Batch tapping Cameron's upper arm was penalised :huh  ::)

that is what blew my mind, blind elbow to the solar plexus designed to wind your opponent as opposed to Batch repeatedly fending him off from making body contact....pleeease...
Lots of people name their swords......

I noticed on afl 360, robbo, wade and bomber all thought it was ridiculous, huddo said it was fair enough bc the umpire was warning him and that players shouldn't have to put up with niggling just standing there away from the ball,  :rollin when the 3 of them burst out laughing at least he had the common decency to look embarrassed - clown!  :lol

Batch needs a kick in the backside.
I think his frustration today is indicative of someone who knows his form is slipping.

Yep. Been off no doubt.

Gieschen's response to the Batchelor free on the It's Your Call segment on the AFL website...

"With Batchelor, it's a definite free kick."

"He did it more than once (4 times) and the umpire would've have told him to stop it."

"We don't want players throwing elbows and forearms."  ::)

"Some may say there's not much force or it's soft but we see this copied at the lower levels and we want to stamp it out."

jees I could scroll over games from the last round and find 20-30 examples, yet it was Richmond once again chosen as scapegoat.
And once again Matt Stevic has awarded this free kick against us  ::)

had enough of this poo, somebody needs to tape and highlight this happening in every game this week and send it to that smoker and ask why the other 75 incidents over the weekend didnt get called a freekick, enough is enough with this ridiculous over officiating

Would have or did?

If the umpire did indeed tell Batch to cut it out after the first couple of instances then it's fair enough IMO and Batchelor is an idiot for continuing.
However purely going by the vision, Batch seemed clueless to any direction to stop it and was genuinely shocked when pinged.
I think The Giesh is just making poo up to cover his umpires behind for an overreaction but if Batchelor was directed to stop, he has no one to blame but himself.

Maybe he couldn't hear him above the crowd noise? ;D
