Still very young for ruckman. Most big blokes dont hit their straps until around 23.

They rookied him Jack. Lost Renouf, Campbell, Bailey needed Ruffy in the fwd line it was insurance.

Reminds me of the Miller situation. Until the kids prove themselves or for want of another term he creates a contest. You have endorsed this openly and vehemently in the last two years.

good question.
I remember dermie saying that the hawks were looking at him closely but pulled the plug on recruiting him for the reasons above so I was just repeating what I heard dermi already say on radio the year after he was recruited.
 I reckon he was spot on.
I also remember him saying once that Dustin Martin was never going to get any better than he already is and never be an elite player or something along those lines. He had some good reasons why but I can't remember what he said.
I really hope he's wrong though.

Jackstar was a Tigers scout the year we recruited Patto, he played a bigger role in his recruiting than he is leading on oh Myers and Polo also were highly recommended by the JStar
