Premiership Window
« on: July 05, 2012, 07:04:41 PM »
The coaches were asked which team's premiership window is about to open and this is where the love for Essendon starts to appear.

Five of the 18 coaches believe the Bombers are about to contend for the flag, while four believe Adelaide to be thereabouts. Richmond (three) and West Coast (two) also received multiple votes, while Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Gold Coast and the Swans also received support.

Below: How the coaches voted

What are the chances that Sheeds was one of the coaches to votes for the bummers? Hirdy probably did too. Got his excuses typed up in a word document at home just in case though.

*ASADA ruined our preparation for the season.
*Bomber Thompson had a holiday booked for September and without a coach we felt we couldn't compete.
*Too hot and sunny in September and it might get in our eyes in the last quarter.
*We had a chance to make finals if we beat Richmond but decided to try a few things instead. Some of them didn't come off and that's why we lost. Should hold us in good stead for next year when we bring back Dank.
*We decided to go with a heavy training load ahead of our last game which would explain the 100 point loss to Richmond.  ;D
*If June didn't exist we'd be a top 4 side.  :whistle
*Jobe didn't play Round 23 and we had no one else to cover him.
*Great effort by Jobe to overtake Cotchin for The Age Footballer of the Year award in the last game. Emma Quayle obviously realised his immense leadership from the stands while Cotchin is an overrated hack and cherry picked those 10 goals.  ;D
*Premiership window opens next year.  :shh
