Anyone have any goss on when this offer will be tabled??
It'll probably take a bit longer given Chaplin is a restricted agent so Port is given the chance to match any offer we make.

MMM saying he'll still end up at Richmond.

Soft too and doesn't even play key position

But could he?

Yeah, I reckon he could ;D but to be honest I don't think he'd be any better at playing on the guns than Rance or Grimesy. Grimesy the weirdo will be our best defender next year if the hammies are right, IMO

IMO i agree with your O

Saw a.game.where Chaplin was miked up
I.know can't read.much into that but he seemed to go.alright. some leadership too.

Even if he can hold down 3rd.key back after AlexRance and DylanGrimes.

It allows Griffiths to play forward as the 200cm next to vickery and jack. This should not be under estimated

Would prefer Grimes coming in and chopping out as 3rd defender, did it well as the 2nd defender to help Rance

Tigers secure Chaplin under free agency

October 1, 2012 - 4:09PM

The Age

Richmond has signed its second free agent with Port Adelaide defender Troy Chaplin this afternoon informing his club he had signed with the Tigers.

As a restricted free agent Chaplin and Richmond must now wait on Port making a decision on whether to match the Tigers' four year deal.

If Port does match the deal Chaplin can either stay at Alberton or nominate for the national draft.

Chaplin's manager, Liam Pickering of Strategic Management Australia, said Chaplin had resolved in his mind to leave Port and wanted to go to the Tigers so he would likely go in the draft if Port tried to match the offer.

The Chaplin signing comes after Adelaide forward Chris Knights became the first deal done on the opening of free agency, committing as an unrestricted free agent to move to the Tigers.

Troy Chaplin's manager says he has nominated Richmond as his club of choice and the paperwork is with the AFL as we speak.

He's on his way.
I agree Mrakov Port won't stand in his way if he does not want to be there.
The player exodus from Alberton has begun. :lol :rollin :lol
