The issue for Port is if they let Chaplin go then they will get compensation (most likely a 2nd rounder); if they match the offer and Chaplin still walks out into the draft then they get nothing.

On guy on TWR reckons because Port is getting bashed from pillar to post right now they will try to make a public stand and force Chaplin into the draft. Wallace thinks they will let Chaplin go as he wants to go. So they are all just guessing.

4.30pm EST is the deadline according to TWR. Under an hour to go until we'll know.
