Nah it's the left knee. Doc Larkins said Chappy couldn't initially put weight on his left leg due to the knee but later on he was able to walk on it. Chappy thinks it might be just stirred up scar tissue but the Club will do scans during the week. Larkins said Chappy's knee will be sore for the next few days and the Club will need to monitor it.

Richmond defender Troy Chaplin suffered a knee injury against the Western Bulldogs

    Glenn McFarlane
    From: Herald Sun
    June 23, 2013

RICHMOND strengthened its grip on a top-eight position with a 10-goal win over the Western Bulldogs last night, but it may have come at a cost with injuries to key defenders Troy Chaplin and David Astbury.

While the Tigers were hopeful last night that the injuries to both players were not serious, it did put a dampener on an otherwise impressive night for the club.

Chaplin was carried from the ground late in the game after twisting his knee, but coach Damien Hardwick said the defender believed his knee – which has previously caused him trouble – was still structurally sound.

Astbury suffered hamstring tightness during the third term and was subbed out of the game.

Both players will be assessed to detail the extent of their injuries, but Hardwick remained hopeful neither would prove to be serious.

Hardwick didn't see Chaplin's injury occur and was unsure whether the stadium's much-maligned surface had played any part.

'you don't know what you got until its gone'.

I suddenly rate Chaplin more, when facing the prospect of losing him.

The good news is there's no structural damage.

Rest him for Saints game.  Elton can take Kosi.

We'll need Chaplin at 100% for the Norf game (Petrie).

Kosi may be out. Could be reported for a strike on Dawes

jack dyer strapped a 2 bob coin to his bad knee and played the rest of his playing days with it..seemed to work for captain blood.Although he did warn his teammates that he cant turn left or right and can only go in straight lines,so if they are in the way....too bad

Thanks for all the well wishes. Scan came back good. Still a bit sore today. Hoping to be right for this week.
