Judd's 'chicken wing' - how many weeks? 4 weeks [updated]

Judd reported too, for twisting the arm of a Nought player in a ball up, stoppage situation.

Has carry over points from checking out Rischitelli's pressure points from the finals in 2009.

Negligent, reckless and totally unnecessary.

Here's to a two week holiday. :cheers

do you think he will Tucker. Looked very minor but lets hope for trial by media and the pressure points history forces the Match Review's hand.

i would love to smash these 2 in Nought and Blues, thus ending their seasons

Maybe Dan, I am sure the media will pump up the pressure points plus the fact Pav got up bleeding from the wrestle he had with him in 2010 and open a can of worms there. He has carry over points so I think he may go for at least one with carry over and one for the incident itself. If he appeals he'll still miss one which is probably what will happen which will make him available against us in Round 18.
I'm hoping he gets 3 and two on successful appeal. ;D

Carlton's spin machine is up and running ...

"From where I sat, and I was at ground level … Judd's gone to tackle knowing that he's a right hander with a right arm, he's grabbed his right arm and, yes, it's certainly come back a bit, but it was all about, Juddy's intent was to absolutely to try and cover off the handball and fist. That's all that was."

"That's certainly the way Juddy explained it and certainly the way it looked from where I sat."

just a low down mongrel act that should get numerous weeks, but the most of the time the MRP is more interested in result rather than intent, so it will hinge largely on North's medical report.
I think the response from the north player close by speaks volumes, and in "less civil" times, may very well have seen judd end up with a broken jaw, which would been well deserved

Spot on WP. A dog act. We've now had from Judd the pressure point incident, swinging elbow to Pav's face, eye gouging and now this in recent years. The guy has become a dirty footballer yet the AFL and the MRP tolerates it because of his 'champion' reputation. Almost the new Libba.  If it was Jake King he'd get 5 weeks for that but because it's Judd he'll get off on some technicality (like the incident doesn't fit into the MRP's points criteria). That wasn't simply "misconduct"; that was a gutless underhanded act on a pinged opponent  ::). We hear all the time the AFL doesn't want juniors copying wrong things from the Pros. Well c'mon AFL and the MRP, make a stand and dish out a proper penalty (at least 2-3 weeks).

In the second or third quarter of this Melbourne v Freo match, someone from Melbourne did the same thing to a Freo bloke on the ground. The difference was he wasn't standing up, he was kneeling to the side of the human-pile on the ball and holding the Freo player's arm horizontal to the ground. It was still the same thing though.

Looks like North will make sure Judd doesn't get off ...

THE MEDICAL report North Melbourne tables to the Match Review Panel is expected to reveal Leigh Adams' shoulder was dislocated by Carlton captain Chris Judd's controversial 'chicken wing' tackle last Friday night.

Judd referred directly to the tribunal ....

Chris Judd, Carlton, has been charged with a Misconduct Offence against Leigh Adams, North Melbourne, during the second quarter of the Round 16 match between Carlton and North Melbourne, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday July 13, 2012.

In summary, the matter has been directly referred to the Tribunal for its determination and he cannot accept an early plea on this matter.
