maybe if the players held their end of the bargain and beat carlton we wouldn't have to try and "find the million" it would've fell into our hands

Maybe supporters can look at the last 4 years instead if one game and see that we are a long way progressed from the days of Terry Wallace and Greg Miller?

Believe me i do and  off field i couldnt be more happier with the progress.

It's the players who i have issues with and who got ahead of themselves.

That was a pathetic performance, equalling finishing 9th IMO.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

perhaps then it was some supporters who got ahead of themselves?

oh for the days of continually getting early draft picks.

Terry  and all his media mates have wiped us more than once the past few years,Yet Dimma and all the RFC have stood fat...We have made progress on field and off the field every year since Dimma has been there. What more can you ask for? .To this point in time I am absolutely tickled pink with how the club is going

Absolutely G, my feet haven't touched the ground since I dunno when, with the hottest young list in the comp and now with more resources than Rio Tinto it spells d a n g e r to the rest of the competition  :shh

On field has been very good, from being the Fitzroy of the competition in 2010 to winning 15 games this year.
Sure we had a poor half in the final but players and coaches have improved every year and learnt from each defeat. Why won't we learn from this loss?
There is no reason to doubt us continuing to improve again next yea although its unlikely to be in the same increments.

On page 74 of today's Herald-Sun, Jon Ralph says Richmond needs the Punt Road upgrade to meet VFL and Melbourne City Council standards to host VFL games. He says it will cost $1 million and have a capacity of 5,500.

Hmmmmmm

Mentioned this a $1mil figure a few times and got ridiculed for saying it  ;D

I doubt very much that the ALL games will be played at Punt Road in 2014. If they're lucky 2nd half of the season might get games in but doubtful if they can't get the $$$ together

Certainly don't want to borrowing to get it up to scratch, defeats the purpose of just having paid off our debt

I am sure a further request to donations to the FTF can't be too far away  ;D

I disagree , debt for infrastructure is ok & will pay dividends
$1m debt @ what 7-8% is stuff all & could be repayed in 2 years easily

Firstly, they said they won't be going into debt again and would expect them to honour that pledge.

Secondly, I don't think people who have given the FTF under the premise that 50% of it would used to repay debt would be overly impressed if the Club went out and borrowed money again. Or alternatively saw funding  in the footy dept reduced to service a new debt. Not a great look

Ever heard of the word BUDGET?

You know you have this thing called revenues that enables you to spend.

It also is your plan as to where you intend to spend the revenues

Can't spend something you don't have

Guarantee you that any extra budgeted revenues for 2014 have already been allocated.

No worries, your opinion but as a FTF donator, i have no issue
Big difference in getting rid of what I would term the poo debt as opposed to building infrastructure that will help to generate sustainable revenue

So do you think they would have allocated revenues from games being played @ PRO ?
Mate i am no accountant but our business has a budget & as soon as we win a big job the budget gets thrown out the window :)
